Meet Leah. Owner of The Fat Quarter!

Hi! I’m Leah! I’ve been quilting for 26 years but it was just a hobby up until recently. In February of 2018, I started planning quilting classes with friends.  However, before I had the class up and running, I had two full groups from beginners to experienced quilters. It was then I started my home-based business, The Fat Quarter Quilts and Fabrics sales.

My shop specializes in modern to contemporary fabric, from bright and colourful prints, to gorgeous low volume collections.  Classes remain an important part of my business, so I continue to run quilting classes for all skill levels from beginner to advanced. I have hosted several retreats here in Gander and have taken my mobile shop to retreats and festivals hosted by other groups outside of Gander.

I began as a home-based business, but have since purchased a mobile unit to take my shop on the road!  I’m primarily based in Gander, however, I plan to attend festivals, offer quilting retreats, and visit towns across the province!

Quilting is more than a hobby for me, it's a passion.  I am here to help you at every stage of your quilting adventure!  I provide the highest level of service in everything I do, and I look forward to providing that same level of service to you.
